Horse Riding Village Tours: Authentic African Experience Near Victoria Falls
Experience the real Zimbabwe on our signature horse riding village tour through Chisuma Village, just 25 km from Victoria Falls. Our guided tours take small groups (maximum 1-5 riders) on a scenic 1-1.5-hour horseback journey through authentic African villages, past traditional rondavels, local farms, and friendly community members going about their daily lives.
Ride gentle, well-trained horses using natural horsemanship and bitless riding techniques. Meet farm animals, including goats, cows, chickens, and sheep. Enjoy light refreshments with local cakes, fruit, and traditional maputie after your ride. Every tour includes transfers from Victoria Falls, all riding equipment, qualified guides, and public liability insurance.

A truly wonderful ride with Lisa this morning. Everything was perfect. Picked up from my lodgings and an interesting drive to the stables. Friendly assistants and a super horse who gave me a lovely ride including a couple of smooth canters. Everything we saw was interesting to me with cattle being gathered to put through the dipping process and an assortment of goats, chickens, cows and donkeys to steer through. Really informative commentary from Lisa and Enoch on how local people live.Yes it's an early start but oh so worth it.

Volunteer with Horses in Africa: 1-4 Week Programs Near Victoria Falls
Join our transformative horse riding volunteer program in Zimbabwe and make a real difference in the lives of rescue horses and local communities. Volunteers spend 1-4 weeks at Wild Bhiza Stables working hands-on with our herd of 8 gentle horses, teaching therapeutic riding to children with disabilities, providing free veterinary care and empowering local youth through horse care education.
Your program includes daily horse riding and training, natural horsemanship skills development, community engagement projects, traditional homestead accommodation with all meals, and full support from our experienced team. No previous horse experience required—just passion, commitment, and an open heart. Volunteers aged 18-80 welcome.

Really fun experience, first time riding horses but the team has made me feel safe and professional, we ride through local villages and they also show us different plants and even have a taste of the fruit fresh out of trees. Definitely a must go especially for those has not ride before. Anton Wong
